I am going on a 4 week trip to Thailand and then onto to New Zealand for the ski season. I am Merrell faithful so I have been looking for a lightweight all around shoe I could use for hiking, swimming, jumping whatever. I had my heart set on another chameleon, but the review on it were horrible right here at Merrell. Then I fell in love with the MAZE. I have only had them one day and been wearing them everywhere. They are very comfortable, good tread, and the strap doesn't cut into your ankle bone. However, I have never bought shoes offline this was my first because I went to all the usual suspects to try and buy in person to get the right size. REI, Dicks sporting goods, sports Authority, Cabellas, Bass Pro Shops, & Gander Mountain. No one had them so I had to get them offline and pay $30 shipping to have them here on time. I wear a 9 in everything else but apparently I wear an 8 or 8.5 in these. I leave tomorrow so there is no time to switch these which is very unfortunate, but my initial review is they are a good shoe. Just order them a half size to one size smaller then normal. I will come back and give you guys a full review on my new oversized shoes and how they held up in the jungles of Thailand. Remember order smaller than normal or you will have to deal with an oversize shoe!
