These shoes are toasty warm and very supportive. They have more stability than cushion, but surprisingly, my feet are less tired in these after a day of work than in my walking shoes with cushy, supportive insoles. I originally wanted the brown, but the black is still super cute. Nice, grippy traction from all the cleats on the bottom (also super cute) and no worries on the waterproofing - it works! I can walk down my long, icy, snow packed driveway to get the mail and not worry about falling or having wet toes by the time I get back to my house. I'm wearing mine with thicker socks or two pairs of thinner socks and they fit true to size, if maybe a little narrow across the ball of my foot. All in all, I love this shoe and wear it almost every day now that it's snowing and cold.
